RAMAYANA FILMING WILL RESUME IN JANUARY 2025, WITH RANBIR KAPOOR BALANCING HIS ROLES IN BOTH LOVE & WAR AND NITESH TIWARI’S MYTHOGICAL FILM.
Ranbir Kapoor is all set to be one of the busiest actors in Bollywood in 2025. The actor is balancing two massive projects, Ramayana and Love & War, both highly anticipated by fans. While Kapoor is currently working on Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Love And War, recent reports suggest that the filming for Ramayana will resume earlier than expected, in January 2025.
Ramayana, the epic mythological drama, has been on a brief break, but with the new year comes a refreshed schedule.
Ramayana Shoot To Resume Next Month
As reported by ETimes, filming for the magnum-opus will kick off again next month. Kapoor, who has already completed 90% of his parts, is juggling this with his work on Love And War, a project slated for an Eid 2026 release. Bhansali plans to wrap filming for Love & War by October 2025, with both Alia Bhatt and Vicky Kaushal committed to large chunks of shooting time.
Yash & Sunny Deol All Set To Shoot As Ravana & Lord Hanuman
Kapoor is not alone in the Ramayana project. The film will feature Yash as Ravana, who will begin shooting in December 2024. Sunny Deol will also join the cast as Lord Hanuman, with his part set to begin filming in the summer 2025.
Ramayana To Be A 2-Part Saga
In a statement shared last month, Prime Focus Studios’ founder Namit Malhotra expressed the vision behind the film, saying, “More than a decade ago, I embarked on a noble quest to bring this epic that has ruled billions of hearts for over 5000 years to the big screen… Today, I am thrilled to see it taking shape beautifully.”
The film, directed by Nitesh Tiwari, is expected to be a two-part release, with the first part scheduled for 2026 and the second in 2027.
